I was born and raised in Michigan, the Great Lakes State. My work is inspired by Michigan summers, heirloom tomatoes, digging in the garden, autumnal breezes, wild mushrooms, spring ephemerals, and world travels.
I grew up in Lansing MI playing in my father’s garden and the woods behind our family home. There I learned a love of nature and fresh food which has stayed with me my entire life. I received a Photography degree from Lansing Community College and then attended Western Michigan University where I took nearly every art class I could get my hands on and earned a BA in Art and Environmental Studies.
I currently split my time between Cedar Michigan, where I spend my time exploring the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula, and Kalamazoo Michigan, the place I and my art studio call home.
